Music in an integral part of the worhsip service at First Congregational Church of Fresno. It is a universal language and it is through hymns and anthems that we learn much about theology.
The Chancel Choir is a Called choir, and is led and accompanied by Musical Director and Organist Scott Horton. Our calling is to use our musical gifts to tell about God's abundant love. We believe that we are each uniquely gifted by God to do the work of music ministry.
The choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:00PM to 8:30PM throughout the choir season (September to June).
The Chancel Choir leads the hymns on Sunday morning, and adds depths to the service through the performance of anthems and special music. The choir is featured in three major concerts throught the calendar year (Halloween on Van Ness - October; A Celebration of Christmas - December, and The Big Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Celebration - June/July).
